What to expect?
As a volunteer, you will help us pick up litter that has accumulated throughout the year on the trails, in the woodlands, and in the peripheral areas around the campus. At the start time of the event on each campus we will provide directions on where to pick up the litter, as well as safety instructions.
Gloves and garbage and recycling bags will be handed out.
Participants will be encouraged to go out in small groups.
Based on your availability, you can participate from 30 minutes up to more than an hour. We will wrap up the event at 12:00noon.
What to Bring
Just yourself (and all your friends)! Gardening volunteers will want to bring gardening gloves, and hand trowels, plus pruning shears for the rose garden.
What Time?
Begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m.
Meeting Location:
St. John’s Campus General Clean Up: Arts and Administration Building on the South Side and on Parking Lot 22 in front of St. John’s College on the North Side.
Garden Clean Up: Core Science Main Entrance or Rose Garden beside the Music Building

MUN Botanical Garden Horticulturalists will be at the Core Science building and at the Rose Garden to lead garden clean-ups. What team will collect the most weeds?

Awards will be given to groups for the following achievements:
1. Collecting the most garbage
2. Finding the most unusual waste item
3. The largest pile of weeds
4. Scavenger Hunt
5. First 100 people get a Campus Clean-Up T (still TBA)
